NEL SSP Y1/2 Key Steps Gymnastics Competition

The North East Lincolnshire School Sport Partnership Y1/2 Key Steps Gymnastics Competition took place this week at the Grimsby Leisure Centre on Tuesday 23rd March 2010. The competition was a full day event with Y1/2 competing in the morning & Y3/4 competing in the afternoon. The competition was split into 3 elements, floor exercise, body management & vault. Each participant attained an individual score from each element which was then totalled up to ascertain if they achieved a Gold, Silver or Bronze certificate. Each school brought 5 gymnasts & all individual scores were added together to achieve a team score & winner.

5 schools contested for the Y1/2 trophy & the results are as follows:

1. Enfield Primary School
2. Canon Peter Hall Primary School
3. Healing Primary School
4. Reynolds Primary School
5. St Josephs Primary School

Enfield Primary & Canon Peter Hall Primary will now have the opportunity to represent North East Lincolnshire in the Humber County Final at The Woodford Leisure Centre in HUll on Wednesday 19th May 2010 from 11.00am - 2.00pm.
