On Wednesday 2nd March 2011 the North East Lincolnshire School Sports Partnership Y5/6 Orienteering Competition took place at the Oasis Academy Wintringham in conjunction with Humberside & Lincolnshire Orienteering (HALO) http://www.halo-orienteering.org.uk/. This is the first schools competition of its kind in North East Lincolnshire & those Primary Schools involved were Canon Peter Hall, Coomb Briggs, South Parade & Laceby Acres. These four schools recieved coaching from Brian Slater of HALO leading into the competition utilising the map reading skills they had learnt.
