The North East Lincolnshire School Sports Partnership’s KS3/KS4 Basketball competition took place on Monday 8th December at the Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education.hI
The Basketball on show was of a high standard from the off with the first match in the KS3 category seeing Tollbar A battling against Tollbar B from which the A team emerged victorious with a score of 14 points to Toll Bar B’s 8. On the KS4 court Toll Bar was held to a 10 all draw with Healing.
Back to the KS3 competition and after their first match victory Tollbar A continued their winning ways with a 26v0 score against Healing B.
In the KS4 tournament Healing improved on their first game draw with a 16v8 victory over St James. This meant that going into the last game Tollbar had to win against St James by 8 points or more in order to clinch the title on points difference. After a strong start from St James, Tollbar came back to dominate the game with the score finishing 28v6 making Tollbar champions!
The final match between Healing A and Tollbar on the KS3 court was equally as tense, with either team able to win the tournament depending on the outcome of the game. It went right down to the wire with the final score finishing 8v6 to Tollbar!
