The North East Lincolnshire School Sports Partnership Primary Badminton Competition took place on Friday 14th November 2014 at Oasis Academy Wintringham.
The turnout was the best ever for the competition, with entries from 16 teams from 9 schools. Schools taking part included Old Clee, Reynolds, Lisle Marsden, Nunsthorpe, Healing, St James Bursar, Western and Fairfield.
The final a repeat of last year’s final, with Old Clee ‘A’ defeating Old Clee ‘B’ 24-12, in a competitive final. Healing ‘A’ finished 3rd after defeating Old Clee ‘C’ in the play offs.
Nick Hanson, event organiser said, ‘It’s great to see so many schools taking part as attendance is up on last year. The standard of play is also improving, due to the work of the North East Lincolnshire Badminton Development Group within schools.’
