Y5/6 Primary Sportshall Athletics Final

The final of the Year 5/6 Primary Sports Hall Athletics competition took place on Wednesday 4th December at the Grimsby Institute of Further Education.

The final saw the top 8 schools from the heats compete in order to qualify for the County finals. Taking part were teams from Coomb Briggs, Fairfield, Scartho Juniors, Eastfield, Edward Heneage, Great Coates, Laceby Acres and Nunsthorpe.

The event lived up to expectations with the top 2 schools from the heats, Coomb Briggs and Fairfield going toe to toe across all events. The finest of margins separated the teams prior to the final event, with Fairfield emerging victorious after a pulsating 4x1 relay. A full breakdown of results is as follows:

8 - Nunsthorpe

Congratulations to Fairfield and Coomb Briggs who have qualified to represent North East Lincolnshire in the Level 3 Humber event on Thursday 3rd April 2014.
