Oasis Academy Wintringham were crowned champions following a fantastic day of boccia competition at the Grimsby Leisure Centre. Over 50 young people represented 17 school teams from across the south Humber region. Following a morning of group games, 8 teams made the quarterfinals representing, Oasis Academy Wintringham, St Hughs, Baysgarth, Humberston Academy, Cambridge Park Academy and Humberston Park Academy. Following a period of intense competition the final was contested by Humberston Academy and Oasis Academy Wintringham. The final was incredibly close and came down to the last ball which resulted in Wintringham winning only after the umpires had to measure to determine a winner. It was a fitting end to a great day!
