On Tuesday 24th April 2012, the Oasis Academy Wintringham hosted the annual Y8 Bobby Tanda Football Cup. This is the sixth year the competition has taken place and see's schools competing in an 11 a side short game format. The reason for this competition is to bridge the gap between the Y7 John Teanby Trophy (also being held at the Oasis Academy Wintringham on Friday 4th May 2012) and the Franklin (FAST) Y9 tournament.
Teams from Tollbar Academy, Oasis Academy Wintringham, Oasis Academy Immingham, Healing School, Clee Academy, Humberston Academy & Ormiston Maritime Academy participated in the event with Tollbar Academy emerging victorious for the 3rd time in the events history.
