Please see attached the results from Saturdays Humberside Schools X Country Championships, held at Baysgarth School, Barton. We had 64 children running representing North East Lincolnshire (from all 10 secondary schools), which given the freezing temperatures was a great turn out. There was a number of children who attended without any adult support who deserve a special mention as it must have been tempting to remain in bed.
We had a number of children qualify to represent the county at the national championships after finishing in the top 8, with the stand out performances being a 2nd and 3rd in the Yr 7 boys race and a 4th place in the Yr 10/11 girls race.
I would like to thank the team managers from various schools who gave up their Saturday morning to support the team.
