On Friday 2nd July the following Primary Schools took part in the North East Lincolnshire School Sport Partnership Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week - Canon Peter Hall, Great Coates, Allerton, William Barcroft, South Parade, Laceby Acres & Eastfield. Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week helps to motivate pupils, and schools to fulfil their objectives for PE and school sport, using the inspiration of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Values.
The aim is simple, to help excite and motivate pupils to do more sport by celebrating and profiling all that has been achieved in PE in schools. 92% of schools said the week inspires more young people to do more sport, and 71% of pupils who take part try a new sport. This unique event uses the power of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to inspire more young people to take part in more sport.
It provides an excellent opportunity to embed the Olympic and Paralympic Values in your school’s sporting activity.
Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week is integral to the delivery of the Government’s PE and Sport Strategy for Young People and contributing towards the target of offering young people five hours of high quality PE and Sport a week by 2012.
