NEL SSP Y5/6 TAG Rugby Competition
The North East Lincolnshire Y5/6 TAG Rugby Competition took place this week at Springfield Road, Grimsby. The competition was run in conjunction with the Grimsby Rugby Union Football Club.
The competition saw 17 schools competing in a round robin style format with the top team teams progressing to the Quarter Final, Semi Final & Final. Each school bringing a team of 10 of mixed gender, ability & age.
After a tough afternoon of Rugby the final was played out between Woodlands Primary School & Sighhills Primary School. The final was a very close & at the end of the 10 minutes the score was even resulting in extra time sudden death. A decisive breakaway try finished off the competition with Signhills emerging victorius.
Both Signhills & Woodlands will now have the opportunity to represent North East Lincolnshire at the County Finals in Sleaford on May 20th 2010.
