Year 1 Primary Multi Skills Festival

Havelock Academy Family of Schools

Grimsby Leisure Centre was the venue for the year 1 multi skills festival.  It allows the pupils to engage in fun activities with other feeder schools in the area and also allows the young leaders of the Academy to enhance their leadership skills.

The aim of this collaboration between the primaries and our Academy is to give the young leaders at Havelock and the pupils from the primaries the opportunity to take up a healthier active lifestyle, be successful learners, good communicators and outstanding citizens who can volunteer and become our sports leaders of the future.  Leadership is for all pupils regardless of their sporting ability as it aims to develop their confidence and communication skills.

The afternoon was very successful and enjoyed by all who took part.  A very special thank you to the students of Form 4 who ran the activities for the primary children.  They were:

Leah Rendall, Lorik Hajdari, Bethany Stevens, Tom Hedison, Harry Burley, Jason Anderson, Tom Clark, Josh Smith, Zia Hassani, Lily Thompson, Sam Mitchell, Luke Hylton, Lewis Smith, Jordan Alexander

Thank you to Julia Sales for her help and support with the festival and thank you to Mrs. Andrews for transport and photography.
