Partnership Appoints 2 new Young Ambassadors

The Partnership has recently appointed two new Young Sporting Ambassadors. Paige Cooper from Oasis Academy Wintringham and Emma Soulby from Healing School. Paige and Emma were selected from a strong field due to their outstanding qualities.

The role of the Young Ambassador is to bring the inspiration and magic of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to other young people in the School Sport Partnership. They are to be our best young people - advocates, role models and leaders of other young people. The role of the Young Ambassador is to:-

  • To promote and advocate the ethos and values of the Olympic and Paralympic movement amongst young people.
  • To champion PE & School Sport within schools and local communities and increase participation.
  • To increase participation of other young people and in doing so and contribute to the achievement of the 5 hour offer
  • To promote healthy, active lifestyles amongst other young people

Paige and Emma will be supported to achieve these outcomes, whether it is through presentations at assemblies and classes, specific projects, attending meetings or competitions.
