On Tuesday 4th October, the KS2 Boccia competition took place at Franklin College.
Entries were fantastic with 18 teams from 8 schools competing to become the 16/17 champions.
Teams were split into groups before progressing to the knockout stage. The standard of Boccia improved as the event went along with some fantastic accuracy and tense games taking place.

The winners of each group progressed to the semi finals.
In semi final 1, Great Coates Red beat Fairfield A 5-0 to progess to the final, whilst in semi final 2 Great Coates Blue beat Western 3-1 in a tense match.
The final was an all Great Coates affair, with Great Coates Red beating Great Coates Blue 8-0 after the 3 ends.
Congratulations to both finalists who will progress to the Humber School games on Friday 14th July 2017.
