Heat 3 of the 2015/2016 Sports Hall Athletics Heats got underway on Thursday 19th November at the Grimsby Institute. This is the third heat of 26 competing schools this year, our best participation ever! The top 8 schools across all heats will progress to the grand final, taking place on Wednesday 2nd December at the Grimsby Institute.
Schools competing in heat 3 were Enfield, Fairfield, Great Coates, Healing, Scartho, Welholme, Western and Wybers.
The heat was our most competitive yet with some outstanding performances.
The winning school of the day was Scartho Juniors who won 11/24 events, also recording 6 2nd placed finishes! In 2nd place on the day was Fairfield, 3rd Healing, 4th Great Coates, 5th Wybers, 6th Enfield, 7th Welholme and Western (joint).
The final heat is due to take place on Thursday 26th November, after which the top 8 will be decided!
