Primary Table Tennis Team Competition

The North East Lincolnshire School Sports Partnership’s annual Primary ‘Team’ Table Tennis event took place on Wednesday 6th November at Clee Fields.

Coomb Briggs Primary School, Welholme Community Primary School, Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe, St James School, Old Clee Primary Academy and Fairfield Primary School were all represented in the U11 Primary Category.

All teams consisted of 4 pupils, who were ranked 1-4 and played each other in a league format, with the school accruing the most points being declared the winner.

In the girl’s competition, Coomb Briggs emphatically won all of their fixtures with a 100% record, 4-0, a fantastic performance and display of skill.

In the boy’s competition, Old Clee and St James progressed through to the final, with Old Clee defeating St James 4-0 to finish as winners of this year’s competition.

Nick Hanson, event organiser said, ‘Congratulations to Old Clee and St James boys and Coomb Briggs and Fairfield girls who have qualified and will now represent North East Lincolnshire in the Level 3 county event. There was some excellent technique and skill on show and the quality continues to improve year upon year’

The level 3 event will take place at St Mary’s College, Hull on Thursday 27th November 2014.
