The North East Lincolnshire School Sports Partnership’s Y5/6 Sports Hall Athletics League continued on Friday 15th November at Oasis Academy Immingham.
The 2nd event of the series saw pupils from Coomb Briggs, Canon Peter Hall, Eastfield and Laceby Stanford compete in a range of track and field events ranging from Long Jump and Javelin to Relays races; aimed at giving pupils an insight into the world of Athletics.
Coomb Briggs ran out as session winners with Eastfield finishing 2nd. The event is the second of a series of sessions in November where 21 schools will go head to head in a League in order to achieve the magic ‘top 8’ status which marks a place in the grand final on Wednesday 4th December.
Special thanks go to the volunteers from North East Lincolnshire Council, Oasis Academy Immingham and Grimsby Institute as without their contribution the event would not be possible.
