Leadership Academy - February Half Term
The 2011/2012 Leadership Academy was launched during February Half Term at a range of venues across North East Lincolnshire.
On offer to students were foundation courses including:
- The Junior Football Leaders Award.
- Start Coaching TAG Rugby.
- The Beginner Umpire Award - Netball.
Over 30 students from Havelock, Wintringham and Humberston attended the courses and are now taking their first steps on the leadership ladder.
Students are encouraged to put their skills into practice at upcoming competitions/festivals to boost both their confidence and CV's with real leadership experience.
Those students who show a commitment to attending courses and volunteering will be shortlisted and have the opportunity of receiving a coaching bursary to progress onto a full level 1 course from 16+.
