The Primary Leadership Programme for the 2011/2012 academic year is now underway.
The main aims of the project are to develop the young people’s key skills, achieving a more active/structured playground and reducing incidents of poor behaviour.
The first cohort of schools have received both pupil and staff support and are now progressing to achieve a sustainable physical activity programme outside of curriculum time.
This project forms part of the Partnership's Leadership pathway – pupils who take a shine to leading/coaching at Primary School can sign up to Leadership Academy courses (foundation coaching courses) at Secondary School then progress to full Level 1’s with our Recruit into Coaching scheme at FE level. Many of the students who volunteer at festivals have received some support and are taking their first steps towards coaching.
