North East Lincs Primary School Y5/6 High 5 Netball SSP Final Competition.

 

Congratulations on reaching the NEL SSP High 5 Netball Final on Monday 23rd May 2011 from 12.30pm – 3.00pm at the Oasis Academy Wintringham (DN32 0AZ). High 5 is a modified form of the game specifically designed to develop sound fundamentals. It promotes key skills & principles which enable participants to progress in Netball as they move into secondary school & beyond.

 

Date & Time:

 

The competition will be a one off competition as stated below:

 

ü  Y 5/6 High 5 Netball SSP Final Competition @ Oasis Academy Wintringham on Monday 23rd May 2011 from 12.30pm – 3.00pm.

ü  Schools to arrive from 12.15am onwards for a 12.30pm start.

ü  Where possible can schools bring their own bibs.

 

Competition Details:

 

ü  Teams consist of a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 9 players, with 5 on court at any one time. Player rotation sheets have been included to assist with the rotation between matches.

ü  There are no specific ratios for Y5 & Y6 split, therefore all could be from Year 5 or all from Year 6. However, it is always advisable to include some Year 5 players as these will form the core of your squad the following year.

ü  Players can be boys and girls (up to max 2 boys per squad). Therefore there will be no more than 2 boys can be on court at one time.

ü  Please return the attached team sheets prior to the event, this is to eradicate issues from last years event in terms of correct rotation of players.

ü  The competition will be split into 2 leagues with the leaders progressing to a final format.

ü  3 points a win, 2 points a draw & 1 point a loss.

ü  Each game will consist of 7 mins per half, with 2 min half time break. At the end of a game there will be a 4 min changeover resulting in each game taking 20mins from start to finish.

ü  All matches will be centrally timed.

ü  Teachers please ensure your team is ready for their next fixture.

ü  Please read carefully the rules & regulations attached to this letter as this is the format & rules that will be adhered to at SSP Final & Humber Final.

ü  The Academy Leadership Team has requested all schools to arrive at the Park Avenue entrance not the main gates. Thanks.
