Havelock Academy Swimming Gala 2011/2012

I am writing to invite your school to take part in one of two Swimming Competition held at and hosted by Havelock Academy.

The Swimming Competition is to follow up from the District Swimming Competition which is due to take place on the 2nd December 2011 at Scartho Swimming Pool.  The events will follow a similar format.

The first Competition will be held on Thursday 8th December 2011 at 13:00 and will be finished by 15:00.  The second Competition will be held on Wednesday 8th Feb 2012 from 13:00 to 15:00.  We would ask you to ensure your team is here by 12:30pm to ensure a 12:40 warm up.  Then a 13:00 start.

Your school’s final placing at the District Swimming Competition will determine which of the two Competitions your school will be invited to.  Schools placed in the top three on 2nd December will be invited to Havelock on Thursday 8th December 2011 and those placed 4th to 6th will be invited on the 8th February.

These Competitions are being hosted by Havelock to give students in Grimsby Schools more opportunity to swim competitively and will provide additional events and if proved successful they will become bi-annual or even termly fixtures.

All officials will be provided by Havelock Academy and local filming clubs and we would ask you to provide one team manager and one other adult/staff to accompany your team.
