Competition Details

 

Basketball has proved very popular in recent years; therefore this year’s format will separate schools into two leagues. At the end of the league phase the lowest placed schools will progress into a plate competition & the highest placed schools progress into a cup competition as confirmed below.

 

ü  U14 Boys CVL (Y7/8/9) League 1 – Mon 26th Sept & 7th Nov @ Whitgift School 3.30pm – 6.00pm.

ü  U14 Boys CVL (Y7/8/9) League 2 – Weds 28th Sept & 9th Nov @ Whitgift School 3.30pm – 6.00pm.

ü  The schools finishing in the lower half of both leagues will progress to the ‘Plate Competition’ on Mon 5th Dec @ Whitgift School 3.30pm – 6.00pm.

ü  The schools finishing in the upper half of both leagues will progress to the ‘Cup Competition’ on Weds 7th Dec @ Whitgift School 3.30pm – 6.00pm.

 

ü  U16 Boys CVL (Y10/11) League 1 – Mon 16th Jan & 30th Jan @ Whitgift School 3.30pm – 6.00pm.

ü  U16 Boys CVL (Y10/11) League 2 – Tues 17th Jan & 31st Jan @ Whitgift School 3.30pm – 6.00pm.

ü  The schools finishing in the lower half of both leagues will progress to the ‘Plate Competition’ on Mon 6th Feb @ Whitgift School 3.30pm – 6.00pm.

ü  The schools finishing in the upper half of both leagues will progress to the ‘Cup Competition’ on Tues 7th Feb @ Whitgift School 3.30pm – 6.00pm.

 

Rules & Regulations

 

ü  Squads can consist of a maximum of 12 players, with 5 players on court at any one time.

ü  Full details, rules, information & formats will follow once all entries are collated.

ü  Schools can enter via the details below or preferably via www.nelssp.co.uk

ü  The CVL will be supported by the Grimsby Snaprats Basketball Club.
