Key focus: Role of the primary link teacher (PLT) in developing and managing high quality PE and school sport

 Learning outcomes (PLTs)

Prepare for, and identify, their role and responsibilities in relation to their own school, their partner schools and the SSP and how this will develop their effectiveness as a PLT

Recognise the characteristics of high quality PE and sport

Identify the role of the PLT in supporting staff and pupils to achieve high quality PE and school sport (PESS)

Establish their own school’s strengths and areas for improvement in relation to high quality PESS (as part of whole school development)

Identify strategies to raise standards within PE, sport and the whole school

Identify potential outcomes for pupils, class teachers, the PLT, school leaders and others (TAs, coaches, adults other than teachers [AOTTs]) in relation to the intended outcomes of the school sport partnership

Analyse how their own school’s policies can be improved to contribute to the above.

Requirements: PE policy, any exsisting action/development plans for PE, any info on 10 high quality outcomes
